About Me

So, in my best Pompey accent, “Oo Are Yer?”

I’ve been supplying sports photographs to The News, Daily Echo, Chichester Observer, Brighton Argus (and their sister publications) since 2006.  Back in the dim and distant past I’ve also had work published by the Daily Express and Daily Telegraph.

Cricket is my real interest and I’ve been fortunate enough to cover Test Matches, One Day Internationals, International T20s and domestic cup finals.

I’ve also covered a multitude of sports for The News including football, rugby, hockey, darts, bowls, american football, various athletic events, boxing, MMA and roller derby (!).

Do I consider myself to be a ‘proper’ professional photographer? No. Just as writing a blog doesn’t make you a journalist, having a website and getting a my pictures published in the local press doesn’t make me a pro photographer. I’m just a happy amateur who struck lucky and found a niche with the local press based on the motto “Never Knowlingly Under-shot”.

I describe my style as “functional”

If you feel like dropping me a line about any of the photographs on the site, please use the link on the “Contact” page.
